Your Pussy Wants You To Write It A Poem

Smelling like a (flower) my pussy is a (rose) - Trina & Killer Mike - Look Back At It

One aspect of glamour magic I think that goes under discussed is body recognition and body ritual. Throughout my glamour practice, one of my first emerging practices had a lot to do with mirror work. I came to realize that the time I was spending in front of the mirror mostly existed as a matter of function and coincidence that I mostly came into contact with leading into my shower. As my practice has grown, shifted and recalibrated itself many times over, and as I know it will continue to, I have come into new relationship with what some would consider the most intimate space on my body, my vagina.

The journey of a woman’s vagina is designed to be scary, embarrassing, secretive and even shameful. We shouldn’t discuss its contents, limit its context and pretty much pretend that it functions mostly as a duty than a being. I think so often as women, we are waiting for someone to validate our vaginal experience when we should be honoring and validating it for ourselves. Don’t get me wrong, its great to be affirmed by your partner during a sex act or foreplay but, it’s even better when you go into these acts with your own sense of knowing and pride.

So here I was, fresh post self pleasuring session and all I could think was, “WOW!” And thats when I decided that I was writing an Ode To My Pussy. & do you know how much fun it was?! I wrote over a page of praise, love, and descriptive details to myself about myself and it was glorious. As a woman who once thought something was wrong with her pussy until my hypnotherapist helped bring me back to that part of my body, this was affirming and healing on so ,many levels.

Here’s How To:

  1. Get Clean: Cleanliness is so important to all forms of ritual. Cleanliness invites clarity and you’ll want clarity before you write this up. Make sure your bedroom is clean, your sheets are cleaned, your pajamas, tools and most importantly YOUR BODY is clean! You’ll feel happier when you are fresh and have a fresh environment!

  2. Self Pleasure: This ritual usually starts in the shower for me. I feel most sensual when I’m clean so using my favorite body wash can also make me feel sexy. I love a good post bedtime shower perfume, baby oil and my evening skincare ritual. Now, DO YOU!

  3. Pull Out Your Journal: This is your moment, talk yourself up. If you find yourself giggling and blushing, don’t be surprised! On the other side of these feelings will also come, liberation, pride and self confidence. Make it as long as you can! What you don’t want to do is let shame, embarrassment or feelings of in worthiness stop you from doing the exercise. In fact, it’s best to lean into those feelings to learn where they are coming from and reconcile with it. You’ll find that those feelings don’t come from you

  4. Dig Into Yourself Deeper: If you experienced any negative feelings that came up about yourself during the experience, dig into them. That can be an indicator of something that needs to be cleared within your heart, womb or throat space (commonly). Let it out so you can clear it out. This will support you in feeling more confident in who you are as a holistic authentic being.

Let me know how it goes for you!
